About CCRG
Chesterfield Citizens for Responsible Government is a non-partisan group, dedicated to providing transparency on county spending. We are not interested in your political views or party affiliation. Founded to provide residents with clear, unbiased analysis of county spending and policy decisions, the goal of CCRG is to ensure every taxpayer has access to information needed to understand how public funds are allocated and spent.
Led by dedicated volunteers, CCRG serves as a government watchdog and advocate for fiscal accountability. We believe that transparency builds trust and leads to better outcomes for our community.
Since our inception in March of 2024, CCRG has published detailed reports, engaged county leaders, and launched a user-friendly data dashboard to make local government spending accessible to all. Our work empowers citizens to ask informed questions and participate in the decision-making process.
We invite all Chesterfield County residents to get involved—by exploring our data, attending events, and joining advocacy efforts. Together, we can shape a more responsible and transparent future for our county.
The CCRG Leadership Team
Our 2 principals are Doug B. and Thomas K.
Doug brings more than 60 years of global experience in fiscal management and supply
chain oversight, backed by an engineering degree, an MBA, and professional supply
chain certifications. A Midlothian resident for over 40 years, he is committed to
disciplined spending and accountability to taxpayers.
Thomas brings over 35 years of Fortune 100 IT and business experience, working with
Fortune 500 companies in IT management, cybersecurity, and mergers and
acquisitions. He has a business degree with experience rooted in fiscal discipline, risk
management, and accountability to stakeholders. He has been a Midlothian resident for
33 years.
Both are supported by a talented group of volunteers, who have an impressive amount of experience in financial management, international consulting, project and process management, operations, government, supply chain management, procurement, engineering, and other areas of expertise. Collectively, we have worked for some of the largest companies in the world, as well as small entrepreneurial ventures. Our talent is a collaborative team, rather than a structured organization. We are good at fact-finding and analysis. Our mission is to reduce taxes and control spending in Chesterfield County by identifying wasteful spending, and opportunities for increased efficiency and continuous improvement.

Founded in 2024 by a group of concerned Chesterfield County residents, Chesterfield Citizens for Responsible Government (CCRG) began as a grassroots movement dedicated to fiscal accountability and budget transparency. Driven by the belief that public data should be accessible and understandable, CCRG seeks to empower citizens to take an active role in local policy decisions.
During this time, CCRG has achieved key milestones—publishing the county’s first independent fiscal analysis, advocating for transparent reporting of county spending, and fostering partnerships with local civic groups. Our data dashboard and regular reports have become trusted resources for citizens and policymakers alike.
CCRG’s ongoing impact is evident in our commitment to open government and taxpayer advocacy. By providing clear analysis and actionable information, we help ensure that Chesterfield County’s decisions reflect the priorities of its citizens.
